Arab Club Champions Cup

Hello, I have observed that on this site the “Arab club champions cup” is not presented in Cristiano Ronaldo trophy cabinet, more, I think is not present at all. This is an official UAFA tournament witch is recognised by FIFA as well as an official tournament(I can help you with link) and I think it should be present here as well, if you want to have an correct non bias appreciation about this tournament. Hello Dragan,
thank you for your interest in improving the database of Transfermarkt. Here we do not display competitions that are not FIFA-recognized. Initially, we had the Arab Club Champions Cup displayed, showcasing all player, match, and club records in very high detail. However, we made the decision to delete it for various reasons:
- UAFA is not officially recognized by FIFA. Other similar organizations like AFF and EAFF are recognized. The organizer of the competition itself also declared that the tournament is considered friendly.
- In 2023 edition Al-Nassr Football Club did not(!) qualify through the sporting route. The club was invited by non-FIFA organizers to participate (probably due to popularity reasons). There is no other recognized competition on club level to accept invitees or similar inofficial ways in order to participate
- We also do not display friendly/inofficial competitions such as Audi Cup, Joan Gamper Trophy etc
- Certainly, the competition holds professional character based on history and other things and is in particularly the Arab region valued but our policy is to not display non-FIFA recognized competitions at all. We also do not make an expedition for Maurice Revello/Toulon Tournament (national team level) or U21 Premier League International Cup despite the considerable prestige associated with the former one. We aim to maintain consistency in our database and, therefore, establish specific parameters to avoid any irregularities.
As you can see, the situation stands as follows. There is no official confirmation by UAFA nor FIFA declaring the status of the competition.
