Jason Joins Bollan's Blue Brazil

Manager Gary Bollan last night completed the signing of left back Jason Talbot who has appeared as a trialist in Cowden's two pre-season friendlies in the last few days.
Jason (aged 32) will be fairly well known to many Blue Brazil fans from his time at Livingston and Dunfermline Athletic. Jason hails from the Manchester area and in his career south of the Border played with Bolton Wanderers, Derby County, Mansfield Town and Port Vale. He has spent the last decade in Scotland winning three League titles with Livvy and the Pars.

Third Time for Pat

Cowdenbeath FC are very pleased to welcome back Pat Scullion for a third spell with the Blue Brazil. Pat dropped in at Central Park to sign on the dotted line earlier today.
He of course first played for us in Mixu Paatelainen's title winning side in his original 3 year spell with Cowden. Pat then also returned to play for us in the Championship and League One in the 2014-16 period. Pat in recent years has mainly played as a centre back but can still do a shift in midfield when required. He has played in over 300 senior games and adds a wealth of experience to further augment Gary Bollan's squad. Pat has also played with Elgin City, Dunfermline, Alloa, Stenhousemuir, Clyde, Berwick Rangers and Edinburgh City but is delighted to once again be back at Central Park.

Loan Deal for Deas

Cowdenbeath FC are pleased to announce that Celtic have agreed to the loan transfer of their 18 year old defender Robbie Deas.
Robbie will now be at Central Park until January. Robbie has been with Celtic since the age of 11 - prior to that he played locally with the Blue Brazil Boys Club. He has been capped at both under 17 and under 19 level by Scotland, has played in the UEFA Youth League and has skippered Celtic at various levels.

Cowdenbeath are pleased to now confirm the loan signing of Josh Skelly from Montrose until the January transfer window. The 21 year old striker started out with Dundee and has also been at Arbroath.

Emergency Loan

With goalkeeper David McGurn suspended for today's match, Cowdenbeath of course only had one goalkeeper available for the squad at Berwick today.
Manager Gary Bollan has therefore arranged, with the kind co-operation of Livingston FC, a 7 day Emergency Loan which brings Gary Maley to Central Park.
Gary is an experienced 'keeper who played for many years in the juniors with clubs including Pumpherston and Broxburn Athletic before joining Livingston in 2016.

Henvey out on loan

Matty Henvey has today joined Cowdenbeath on a loan deal.
Striker Matty made his first team debut last season and this season has made three appearances from the bench.
The 19 year old has joined the League Two side until the end of the season.

Cowdenbeath manager Gary Bollan today signed ex-Berwick Rangers defender Jamie Todd and he goes straight into the squad for tomorrow's match at Hampden. The 24 year old was previously with Tranent Juniors and scored his first goal for Berwick v Cowden last season. Welcome to Central Park, Jamie.
Meantime, we have mutually agreed with Harris Kay that his contract be cancelled - we all wish him the very best for the future.

Manager Gary Bollan has agreed a loan deal with Dundee United that brings a familiar face to Central Park – his son Luc Bollan!
Luc is a centre back and joins us until the end of the season. An aggressive and quick defender, Luc was snapped up from local rivals Dundee at the age of 15 and has made a couple of first team appearances for United thus far.
