Bristol City play down Hearts link with Hartley

Bristol City have denied reports midfielder Paul Hartley has been transfer-listed.

The 33-year-old Scotland international, who joined in July 2009 following his release from Celtic, has been linked with a summer move to his former club Hearts.

However, City chief executive Colin Sexstone has dismissed the rumours, telling the told the club's official website: "I'm not sure where these stories come from but people are playing with words and getting it wrong.

"There has been absolutely no dialogue between Bristol City and Hearts and I can say categorically that Paul is not on the transfer list. He remains an important member of the squad."
