All change in the North Region

The North Region Junior Football Association have unanimously agreed to a new structure for their 35 member clubs.
The First and Second Divisions have been scrapped with the 21 clubs now being split on a regional basis into a First Division East and West.
The PMAC Group Superleague will remain to have 14 clubs which for season 2013/2014 will be Banchory St Ternan, Banks o' Dee, Culter, Deveronside, Dyce, East End, Ellon United, FC Stoneywood, Hall Russell United, Hermes, Longside, Maud, New Elgin and Stonehaven.
The PMAC Group First Division (East) will consist of Bridge of Don Thistle, Buchanhaven Hearts, Colony Park, Cruden Bay, Fraserburgh United, Glentanar, Lewis United, Newmachar United, Parkvale and Sunnybank.
The West Division will be competed for by Buckie Rovers, Burghead Thistle, Dufftown, Fochabers, Forres Thistle, Inverness City, Islavale, Lossiemouth United, Nairn St Ninian, Portgordon Victoria and Whitehills.

The North Region Junior Football Association have unanimously agreed to a new structure for their 35 member clubs.

Love joins Cumnock
Friday 14th June 2013
Former Stenhousemuir, Albion Rovers and Stranraer striker Robert Love has joined junior side Cumnock who have just finished in ninth place in the Super League Premier Division.
The 24 year old started his career at Ochilview 6 seasons ago and after helping them to promotion via the Play-offs in 2009 he joined Albion Rovers and repeated the feat two years later.
Love joined the Blues last summer and scored 4 times in 19 games, however he was released at the end of the season and despite interest from Annan where his younger brother Ally plays he has opted for Townhead Park.
The front man said: “I am pleased to have my future sorted and I can enjoy my summer now. I am from Ayrshire so I know how big a club Cumnock are.”

Pollok bring in host of former seniors

Junior side Pollok have brought former Albion Rovers, Arbroath, Greenock Morton, East Stirlingshire, Stenhousemuir, Berwick Rangers and Brechin City striker Iain Diack back to the club as well as recruiting one time Dundee United, Stirling Albion and Ayr United defender Willie Easton.
The duo are two of five players that manager John Richardson has signed from his former club Kirkintilloch Rob Roy with former Raith Rovers, Queen of the South, Morton and Stenhousemuir defender Robbie Henderson, ex- Celtic youth Alan Lindsay and one time Tannadice kid Kieran McAleenan all swapping Adamslie for Newlandsfield.
Striker Richie Barr, who netted for Irvine Meadow when they become the first Junior side to defeat Scottish League opposition in the Scottish Cup, when he grabbed the winner against Arbroath, has also joined the Glasgow junior side.

Smith and Murray head for Arthurlie

Mark Staunton in action for StranraerOne time Celtic defender Mark Staunton, who commanded a £110,000 transfer fee when he joined Charlton Athletic, has joined Irvine Meadow from Second Division Stranraer.
The 24-year-old left the Parkhead side in 2006 when Charlton Athletic paid for his services, however his time in London was brief and he headed back north the following year to join Falkirk.
Staunton never featured for the Bairns first team, however he gained experience during a loan spell at Berwick Rangers before joining East Fife on a permanent basis in 2009.
After a year at New Bayview, Staunton turned Junior and played for Beith before making the step back to the SFL last season with the Blues and he featured in over 30 games.

Robert Sloan signs for Bo'ness
Robert Sloan in action for East Fife Midfielder Robert Sloan has ended 13 years in the senior ranks by signing for Bo’ness following his release from East Fife at the end of last season.
The 29-year-old started his career at Hearts back in 2000 and after a loan spell at Alloa Sloan left Tynecastle in 2005 and had spells at St. Johnstone, Alloa again and Raith Rovers before heading for New Bayview in November 2010.
Bo’ness boss Allan McGonigal said: “I am delighted to bring a player of Robert’s experience to our club.”

Jamieson leaves East Fife for Newtongrange
Striker Sean Jamieson’s stay at East Fife was a short one as just 12 months after joining for the Fifers from Haddington Athletic he has returned to the junior ranks. The 23 year old has moved onto Newtongrange Star after just 5 starts and 1 goal for the New Bayview side.

Ross opts for Penicuik
Full back Greg Ross, who once held the record as the youngest ever Dunfermline player has joined Junior side Penicuik Athletic. The now 26 year old was only 17 when he made a goalscoring debut against Kilmarnock in 2004 and he went on to make over 100 appearances for the Pars before leaving to play in Iceland.
Ross returned to spend two seasons with his former Dunfermline boss Dick Campbell at Forfar before spending last summer at Stenhousemuir.
A move to Ayr during the summer broke down and he sign for Penicuik just hours after East Stirling head coach John Cough made a move after learning he was still available.

Maguire joins Cumnock

Former Airdrie, East Stirling and Peterhead striker Stephen Maguire has swapped the Third Division for the junior ranks on a permanent basis after signing for Cumnock.
The 26 year old front man was recruited to the Blue Toon 18 months ago by his former boss at the Shire, Jim McInally, however he ended up on loan at Shotts Bon Accord after a change in working circumstances made it difficult for Maguire to travel to training.
He was released by the Balmoor men at the end of the season and has now agreed to join up with the Ayrshire side.
