Chris Cadden: Oxford United sign defender on season-long loan

Chris Cadden left Motherwell at the end of last season after being at the club since the age of nine
Oxford United have signed Scottish international Chris Cadden on a season-long loan deal from Columbus Crew.
The 22-year-old previously made over 120 appearances for Motherwell.
Cadden joined the MLS club after his Well contract ended this summer and the Scottish club are now seeking compensation over their academy graduate.

Verwundert mich ziemlich......
Für die Staggies nicht gut genug, aber ´n Vertrag bei den Steelmen? Für die Reserves?
In Dingwal war MacIver so´n "Zweitesaisonhälfteverleihnix".
Januar 17 in die Highland League zu den Scorries (da haben wir keine Einsatzdaten), Anfang 18 zu Forfar (in Liga 3 kein Stammspieler, nur 4 Einsätze in der Startelf), Anfang 19 zu Elgin (in Liga 4 Stamm). Was ich weiß ist, dass er kein ganz Schlechter sein soll und offensiv sehr variabel einsetztbar.
Aber wie gesagt: Wenn die Staggies ihm keinen neuen Vertrag angeboten haben......

Motherwell have confirmed they have paid off all loans to former owners John Boyle and Les Hutchison.
The amount, totalling over £1,500,000, has been paid back over three years through the sale of first-team players.
The Fir Park club were the first top-flight side to become fully owned by fans when the Well Society concluded a takeover from Hutchison in 2016.
Motherwell have now paid off all debts to outside parties aside from £80,000 in loans to five fans of the club.
Defender Cedric Kipre left Fir Park to join Wigan Athletic for £1m in August 2018. And Motherwell sold striker Louis Moult to Preston North End for £500,000 in December 2017, five months after defender Ben Heneghan moved to Sheffield United for around £300,000.

Motherwell have announced a £436,000 loss for the year to May 2019, having made a £1.7m profit in the previous accounting period.
The Fir Park club finished eighth in last season's Scottish Premiership - one place lower than in 2017-18, when the club also reached both cup finals.
Gate receipts were down almost a half to £1.6m and broadcasting rights fell around 25% to £1.4m.
Revenue of £4.6m included £781,000 of transfer income.

Mr Robinson, 45, was on trial at at Edinburgh Sheriff Court accused of assaulting Robyn Lauchlan on Waverley Bridge on 13 December.
The football manager had denied the charges against him.
