Spiders snap up Birnstingl
Queen’s Park have signed goalkeeper Lucas Birnstingl to replace former East Fife shot-stopper Michael Brown who left the club last month.
German born Birnstingl moved to Scotland from Canada two years ago for a trial at Kilmarnock and he was also on the books of Clyde and Dundee before playing last season with Bo’ness Juniors.

The Spiders will move their playing operation out of both the National Stadium and Lesser Hampden to cater for Athletic events in next year’s Commonwealth Games later this month.

Speirs leaves Queen's Park

Queen’s Park have parted company with head coach Gardner Speirs, who had been at the helm for almost six years.
Speirs was the longest-serving manager in the SPFL, having taken over from Billy Stark in January 2008 and his departure means that title now lies with Forfar boss Dick Campbell, who took charge at Station Park in May 2008.

Speirs hatte gute Arbeit gemacht, schade eigentlich. Hoffe man kann da jemand ähnlichen auf die Bank setzen. Aber immerhin schön zu sehen, dass es auch noch langjährige Trainerangagements gibt/gab in der heutigen Zeit in der alle nervös werden wenn mal ein Spiel in die Hose geht.
