Rovers manager Barry Smith has added a new goalkeeper to the Rovers squad in the shape of Robbie Thomson.
The 25 year old has signed a 2 year deal, following in the footsteps of his father Scott who was of course between the sticks when the Rovers won the League Cup and played in the UEFA Cup in the 1990’s.
Scott was released by SPFL Championship club Falkirk at the end of last season.

The club are delighted to announce that the signing of midfielder Grant Gillespie (26) has been completed on a 2 year contract.
A product of the renowned Hamilton Academicals youth system, Grant has played over 200 first team matches in his career since making his debut for Accies in August 2009 as an 18 year old.

Lewis Milne

Raith Rovers are delighted to announce the signing of midfielder Lewis Milne.
An attacking midfielder, Lewis is 24 years old and joins on a 1 year deal having most recently played for SPFL League 2 Champions Montrose.
A native of Edinburgh, Lewis started out in the youth system at Dunfermline Athletic.
He signed for Cowdenbeath in October 2008 as a 14 year old, playing in their youth setup and signing a professional contract with the Blue Brazil in July 2010.

Raith Rovers are delighted to announce the signing of free agent Nathaniel ‘Nat’ Wedderburn.
The 27 year old midfielder (who can also play in central defence) has played over 200 first team matches since signing for Stoke City after coming through the youth academy at The Britannia Stadium.
A native of Wolverhampton, Nat spent time on loan from The Potters at Notts County and Hereford before leaving Stoke to sign for Northampton Town in 2010. After moving on to Corby Town for season 2012 – 13 Nat then made the move north to Scotland, signing for Jimmy Nicholl at Cowdenbeath in July 2013.
A move to SPFL Premiership side Inverness Caledonian Thistle then followed for season 2015 – 16, before Nat signed a pre-contract agreement prior to joining Dunfermline Athletic and playing there for the last 2 seasons.

Striker Kevin Nisbet has been on trial with Rovers since the start of pre-season training, and has signed a 1 year contract.......

Raith Rovers have secured the loan signing of goalkeeper Kieran Wright from Rangers FC.
The 19 year old stopper is a Scotland under 19 cap, and comes to Stark’s Park on loan until the end of December 2018.
Kieran has previously gone out on loan to Albion Rovers last season, and Gala Fairydean Rovers in the Lowland League in season 2016-17.

The Board of Raith Rovers Football Club have this evening reluctantly accepted the resignation of manager Barry Smith.
Kevin Cuthbert has agreed to be in charge of all football matters for the game on Saturday against Ross County.
The board are now considering all options for taking the club forward. Further information will be issued in due course.

Wohl Zoff mit dem Vorstand. U.a. ging´s wohl um Kohle, bzw. die Verletztenmisere Anfang der Saison, als er wohl keinen Neuen mehr holen durfte. Der Kader ist ja eh schon klein, von den 21 Leuten sind 5 hochgezogene Junioren (z.B. der 17-jährige Valentine) plus ein 16-jähriger Torwart. Einmal waren alle 3 Keeper verletzt, Emergency loan wohl aus Kostengründen (?) nicht, da musste einer angeschlagen ran.
