"Panathinaikos "PAO" Chicago, a Greek-American Soccer Club was created by die-hard father & son Panathinaikos supporters Dimitrios & Denny Chronopoulos.
Denny Chronopoulos (25 years old former Thrasyvoulos FC Goalkeeper) is the Director of Operations.
The academy was established in 2019 and the men’s team was established during the COVID pandemic 2020.
As of June 17th 2020 Panathinaikos Chicago was accepted in the 4th division of United States Soccer , the NPSL (National Premier Soccer League).
Panathinaikos Chicago is currently the only team in Illinois that participates in the NPSL.
Panathinaikos Athens is the most successful Club in Greece. Although we have ties and connections with members of the club in Greece , we are our own company.
It has been publicly noted that Panathinaikos Legends Georgios Karagounis and Djibril Cisse have recognized our club and shown there support to our efforts here being demonstrated in Chicago."
