SPL clubs to discuss financial fair play rules

Scottish Premier League clubs will meet on Monday to review their current regulations on financial fair play.

The clubs will discuss whether changes need to be made, which could mean "tougher" rules being rubber-stamped at a general meeting in April or July.

"It is vital that we do not shy away from these issues," said SPL chief executive Neil Doncaster.

Dunfermline 'have problems' with prospect of new Rangers' SPL entry

Pars chairman John Yorkston says he is uncertain over whether he would give his vote for Rangers' member share to be bought.

Dunfermline Athletic chairman John Yorkston says he is uncomfortable over the prospect of any ‘new Rangers’ being given a free pass into the Scottish Premier League.

Rangers are currently in administration and have been docked 10 points by the SPL. Player redundancies are expected on Monday, with £1m a month needing to be cut from the club’s overheads.

Ten SPL clubs will discuss change in Old Firm's absence

By Jim Spence BBC Scotland

All clubs in the Scottish Premier League, excluding Rangers and Celtic, will meet next week to discuss radical changes to Scottish football.

With Rangers in administration and facing going out of business, the clubs will discuss the voting structure.

They will also consider the distribution of income and the possibility of a 10-club second tier.

One SPL chairman told BBC Scotland: "This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to change things."
Twelve clubs presently compete to win the SPL trophy

Twelve clubs presently compete to win the SPL trophy

The 10 non-Old Firm SPL clubs have long been unhappy with the distribution of income as it favours Rangers and Celtic and also dislike an 11-1 majority requirement on major issues that they believe allows those two clubs to dictate change.

Ich packs mal hier rein.......

Ganz interessante Statistik, wie ich finde:

Factfile: Most shots on goal

Rangers have had most shots on target in the Clydesdale Bank Premier League this season while bottom club Dunfermline are the only team still to reach the 100-mark.

St Johnstone, on course for a place in Europe, have made their efforts on goal count - they are fifth in the table despite hitting the target only 109 times in 2011/12

Shots on target (league position in brackets)
203 Rangers (2)
201 Celtic (1)
149 Hearts (6)
140 Dundee United (4)
136 St Mirren (9)
124 Hibernian (11)
123 Motherwell (3)
122 Kilmarnock (7)
115 Inverness CT (10)
109 Aberdeen (8)
109 St Johnstone (5)
83 Dunfermline (12)

http://www.scotprem.com/content/default.asp?page=s2&newsid=11157&back=home

1. Dunfermline 36,14%
2. Dundee United 33,6%
3. St. Johnstone 33%
4. Motherwell 32,5%
5. Celtic 30,8%
6. Inverness 28,7%
7. Rangers 27,6%
8. Aberdeen 26,6%
9. Kilmarnock 26,2%
1o. Hibernian 24,2%
11. Hearts 22,1%
12. Mirren 19,1%
