Jim McInally has said that Scott Ross will not play for Peterhead again after being sent off in Saturday’s 4-2 home loss to Stirling Albion. The Blue Toon boss was furious with the defender after he was shown a second yellow card in the second half as they tried to find a way back in to the game. McInally says that as long as he is at Peterhead the defender will not represent the club again. He said: “My last words to Scott going out for the second half were not to get sent off and that will cost him dearly. “As long as I am here he won’t play again for the club. “I have stuck up for him numerous times and he will pay the price for it this time.

Depleted Blue Toon set for loan swoop

Peterhead will today complete the loan signing of Dumbarton winger Chris Johnston.
The 23 year old, who has made 14 appearances for the Championship club this season, will join the Blue Toon until the end of the current campaign.
Johnston, formerly of Kilmarnock and Raith Rovers, was on the bench when the Sons knocked Jim McInally’s men out of the Scottish Cup last month.

New striker aiming to be Blue Toon’s Karim of crop

New Peterhead forward Karim Belmokhtar is targeting a regular place in the team after signing a contract until the end of the season.
The French-Algerian made three substitute appearances as a trialist for the Blue Toon in League 2 last month.
The 21 year old, who scored in the recent win at Cowdenbeath, did enough to convince boss Jim McInally he was worth keeping.

Former Stirling Albion winger Ross Kavanagh has become Peterhead’s first signing of the close season.
The 21 year old has agreed a one year contract with the Blue Toon after shrugging off interest from other clubs.

McInally says Boyle signed due to Peterhead’s reputation among the players

Boss Jim McInally believes the signing of Paddy Boyle shows the strong reputation Peterhead have among players.
The left-back has put pen to paper on a one-year contract with the Blue Toon.
Boyle has recently been released by Ayr United, who he helped to the League One title during the recently concluded season.

Peterhead take Mick as defender signs on

The player, who denied Peterhead a return to League 1, will try and help the Blue Toon out of Scotland’s bottom tier next season.
Experienced centre-back Mick Dunlop has agreed a one year contract with the Balmoor club.
Dunlop scored both Stenhousemuir goals in their play-off final 1st leg win over Jim McInally’s men, who were unable to turn the tie around in the return match despite Russell McLean’s header.
Dunlop is Peterhead’s third new signing following the arrivals of Ross Kavanagh and Paddy Boyle.

Forward Lyle seals Peterhead switch

Peterhead have today completed the signing of Derek Lyle on a one-year contract.
The Blue Toon fought off competition from several clubs to land the 37 year old striker.
Lyle has spent most of his career with Queen of the South during two spells with the Dumfries outfit.
Partick, Dundee, Hamilton and Morton are among the other clubs he has represented.
