Peterhead set to add Ritchie on loan

Peterhead are set to complete the loan signing of Inverurie Loco Works midfielder Hamish Ritchie.

The 23-year-old heads to Balmoor on a deal until the end of the season, with the Highland League side retaining a recall option if their league season resumes.

Ritchie, who came through the youth system at Aberdeen, joins up with Jim McInally’s side having made one appearance on loan for fellow League One rivals Cove Rangers earlier this season.

The midfielder returned to the North East last summer having spent four years in the United States where he turned out for Hartwick College and Seattle University before joining Locos.

Hamish Ritchie to become a Peterhead player

Peterhead manager Jim McInally has secured the services of his top transfer target this summer with Hamish Ritchie agreeing to join the Blue Toon on a two year contract from Highland League Inverurie Locos.

The 24 year old needs no introduction to Balmoor after a stand out loan spell over the closing months of last season during which he scored four times with Jim saying: “I am delighted that our negotiations with Hamish and Inverurie have had such a positive outcome. Hamish did really well here over the second half of the season and I am glad to continue working with a player who shone almost 12 months ago against us in a pre-season friendly and I have been keen on ever since.”

McInally musste nach über 11 Jahren gehen, weil er in dieser Saison nur einen mageren Punkteschnitt von 0,47 hinbekam. Robertson konnte das mit 0,42 sogar noch unterbieten, "Höhepunkt" zweifellos die letzten beiden Spiele, wo es erst eine 0-5 Klatsche gegen Falkirk gab und am letzten Wochenende dann die 0-7 Demütigung in Airdrie........
